One of the main tools we’ll use in CLMOOC is our Google + Community. You’ll need a Google account to access it. In addition to proving helpful in CLMOOC, your Google account will give you access to useful tools like Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and more.

Getting started with Google + (G+)
To have access to all the daily sharing and chatter in CLMOOC, you’ll need a Google + account. By joining Google’s social network, you’ll be able to access CLMOOC’s Google + community and also have the opportunity to create or sit in on Google Hangouts.
G+ communities are great places to share content, have discussion and make connections. This beginner’s guide from Ryan Lytle at Mashable will help you understand the basics of how G+ communities work.
The CLMOOC G+ community buzzes with participant chatter daily. Post questions, create quick progress updates and share interesting web content with this MOOC. Check in often to see what everyone is up to. Check out the community here and you’ll see the connections and interactions happening there. When you’re ready to share, question and discuss, click join. We’ll see you there!
Turning notifications off and on
While participating in this MOOC, you may not want to receive a massive number of email notifications. If that is the case for you, be sure to turn off the notifications to avoid receiving an email notification each time someone contributes to the community.
